Distinguished Alumni Grant

Each year the Foundation awards the Distinguished Alumni at each school a grant to donate to the school that enhances the area of their field.

2022 GBS Distinguished Alumni

Ravin Gandhi, Class of ’90

Ravin Gandhi is CEO and founder of GMM Nonstick Coatings and a member of the CNBC-YPO Chief Executive Network.  Gandhi is also a VC investor and has invested in technology companies KeyMe, Ampsy, Tred, Lettrs and Hester Biosciences. Gandhi was an executive with Coatings and Chemicals Corporation before its sale to Akzo Nobel.

Gandhi wrote and directed the 2021 crime thriller film 100 Days to Live. Much of the film was shot over three weeks inside and outside Gandhi’s apartment building and in his neighborhood while he remained CEO of GMM Nonstick Coatings.[24] 100 Days to Live had its world premiere at the 2019 San Diego International Film Festival, where it won Best World Premiere and Best First Time Director for Ravin Gandhi.

Ravin used his grant to install signage in the GBS xx department.
