TO ALL GRADUATES OF GLENBROOK HIGH SCHOOL YEARS 1953-1961 (The PACESETTER Reunions)

On Saturday, Oct 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm we will be celebrating the second annual
Glenbrook High School Reunion at Hackney’s Restaurant on Lake Avenue. All
Graduates of the Glenbrook High School are invited along with their spouses and friends.
In addition to the Reunion itself, all attendees are invited to the Homecoming
Parade and Football Game at Glenbrook North on Friday, October 19, 2018, where the
original Glenbrook classes will be recognized. The schedules for both are:

Homecoming Parade: meet in the Sunset Foods parking lot in the north end at 3:30 p.m. where you can park your car.  A large van will provide transportation for you and your classmates down the parade route.  The parade steps off at 4:00 p.m.  The parade will begin at Sunset Foods in Northbrook and travel west on Cherry Ln. The parade will end at Western Ave & Cherry Ln.  Van transportation will bring you back to your car at Sunset Foods.
Homecoming Football Game meet at the Glenbrook North Football Stadium at 7:00 p.m. to be taken to reserved seats for your class (golf cart transportation will be provided if desired).  Entrance to the game is free and passes will be provided at the Homecoming parade (if you chose to participate).  If you do not get a pass, simply state at the gate that you are a member of the Pacesetter Classes and you will be given free admission.

In addition to the organized events, the
Foundation can assist members of the individual classes to schedule and plan their own
class gatherings on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday. To facilitate those gatherings a
group of rooms has been blocked at:

SHERATON CHICAGO NORTHBROOK HOTEL
1110 Willow Road, Northbrook, Illinois 60062
(847) 480-1900

(Please reference the “Glenbrook School Vintage Reunion Room Block’)

Many Alums thought that their 50th reunion would be their last reunion. We are
encouraging all of our graduates to continue the tradition on an annual basis. The
Glenbrook High School Foundation is assisting in the planning of these events to make
the event a fun and successful one.

As part of the celebration the Glenbrook Foundation is working with alums and
assembling a document celebrating the history of the creation of Glenbrook High School
and its changes throughout the years. We are always looking for more memories and
information as to the founding of the District. Please provide any information you can so
we can update the document and keep the history alive.

Looking forward to seeing you on Oct 20th.
