


Accomplished actress Wendy Braun will be honored at “A Night of Glenbrook Theater” on Saturday, April 29th as an Honorary Alumna of the Glenbrooks. Braun is a 1988 graduate of Glenbrook South High School who has enjoyed a successful acting career in Hollywood, with more than 75 television and film credits.
Braun’s extensive resume includes guest-starring roles on hit series such as The Mentalist, Bones, Criminal Minds, Henry Danger, and Navy NCIS. She became a fan favorite while recurring as the officious Ms. Iris Sneed on General Hospital.
Catch Braun guest starring next on Grey’s Anatomy and appearing as Danny DeVito’s accountant on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Braun can also be seen in her recurring role on the new Netflix series, Atypical, alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rappaport, and soon appears in the upcoming feature film, The Clapper with Tracy Morgan and Ed Helms.
Wendy’s early love of the performing arts was encouraged by her late mother, WGN/Chicago’s beloved Miss Beverly, host of the children’s classic television show Romper Room.

Wendy began acting at age 12, as “the Scarecrow” in The Wiz and continued performing in musicals and plays at Glenbrook South High School. She was active in the musical theater department at GBS starring as “Dolly” in Hello Dolly, as well as many GBS Variety Shows. Wendy continued performing at Indiana University, where she graduated early to pursue acting.
